Last Saturday, Raffy and I attended the wedding ceremony of his good friend/officemate Rogie and Cel. It was held in Antipolo Cathedral which I grew up knowing as the home of Our Lady of Good Voyage. Every year, my parents see to it that we go on our trip to Antipolo so the Lady will guide us during our trips and out of the country travels. Mga makakating paa kasi kami nila Gia so gala lang ng gala kaya kailangan talaga ng prayers and safety. My parents have a point=p It’s better to be always safe, right? Haha. Anyway, it was perfect timing that the wedding ceremony will be held in Antipolo since I was not able to go with mom and dad last May. Hitting two birds with one stone: attend the wedding and visit the Lady. Good job!;p
We reached Antipolo after meeting up with Alris in Shell Edsa. Travel time was pretty fast considering how far Antipolo is (literal asa bundok) plus traffic in some parts of Marcos Highway. Upon touchdown, we were hungry as bears that we went to the 1st fast food chain we saw, KFC! I’m crazy for that chicken resto ever since. Raffy and I were torn on what we should order. I saw there’s a newbie in the menu which is the ChilLime Chicken. Traditional KFC chicken (parang redundant Kentucky Fried Chicken Chicken. Haha), dredged in breading and spice with a hint of lime! So we ordered that plus Shakin’ Shots in garlic parmesan flavor:

What can I say about Chillime? We all know that KFC’s always doing their own innovations in their fried chicken with their latest offerings like BBQ rods and chicken wraps. Chillime is another of those innovations. It is quite good but they should add more spice to the chicken so it can really be called CHILLime. Wala masyadong anghang. The LIME part is ok for me, and I guess what they did was marinate the chicken in lime or kalamansi. More flavors pa siguro. Still, we enjoyed our lunch. =)
After that, it is still too early to go inside the church. We do not want to hang out inside since there is an ongoing mass for the deceased. So we opted to stroll around the mini stores selling Antipolo’s famous kasuy, kalamay and suman. We ended up making chika at Ate Grace’s stall (feeling close kami) and had several free tastes! And then it rained! Waah! Too bad for my new shoes, kawawa, nasawsaw heel sa mini baha! Oh well. At least my feet didn’t get soaked in the floods. Ate Grace was nice enough to lend me her chair. Raffy, Alris and I waited for rain to subside a little then we borrowed one of the ate’s payongs and rushed our way inside the church.

The wedding started around 3:30 pm. When Cel arrived, I took a picture of her bridal car. Really nice!

I can say the wedding is really nice and polished. No crying moments though;p Sayang. Fast forward to the reception. We were treated to food by Hizon’s and yummy lechon. Ooh, I can’t fit into my dress afterwards!;p Then during the usual wedding reception games, I’m the first one who got the eggplant in between a guy’s legs (the game is like trip to Jerusalem)! I have fast hands haha! Saved myself from having the garter pulled all the way to my upper knee! Phew! Competitive since 1990’s! haha!
